Dr. Shamimul Hasan has completed BDS from Ziauddin Ahmed Governmental Dental college, Aligarh Muslim University and MDS (Oral Medicine and Radiology) from Saveetha Dental College, Chennai. He has a teaching experience of more than 12 years, and presently works as a Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia. The author has more than 100 international and National publications to his credit with more than 560 citations and an H-index of 12. He is the recipient of several national grants from ICMR and DST. He has also earned many best paper awards at various International and National platforms. His research interests include oral potentially malignant disorders, Desquamative gingivitis, and oral signs in systemic disorders.

Dr. Shazina Saeed is an Assistant Professor at the Amity Institute of Public Health. She has completed her MBBS from Universal College of Medical Sciences, Nepal. After practicing internal medicine for two years she pursued her Masters of Public Health (MPH) in Public Health Genetics from the prestigious Graduate School of Public Health, the University of Pittsburgh which is among the top-rated public health programs in the US. Dr. Shazina has also earned a Masters of Science (MS) degree in Clinical genetics from the School of Medicine, University of Pittsburgh, USA

 

Dr. Shazina was awarded a full scholarship at the University of Pittsburgh and worked as a Graduate Student Researcher (GSR) on prestigious NIH (National Institute of Health) funded projects. Her Master’s thesis work yielded her a prestigious publication in “Nature Genetics”.

 

She has over nine years of experience in the field of public health and clinical genetics with wet bench work experience. She has research expertise in the areas of public health genetics, population genetics, research methodology in public health. Her research interests are related to developmental cardiovascular genetics, public health cardiology, and infectious disease of developing nations.

Sukannya is employed with Parexel International India Pvt Ltd as an Associate, Health Economics and Outcomes Research. She has been at Parexel India for the past year. She has conducted systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses in the fields of oncology and infectious illnesses. She graduated from Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences' Department of Pharma Management in Manipal, India, with a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Administration. She was a member of the ISPOR Manipal student chapter during her master's degree. She will speak about her scientific research, which is based on one of the world's most mysterious diseases, at our next conference.

Chisom Pius has four years of experience in the nonprofit sector and earned a Bachelor of Science Education in Health Education from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. During her time as an undergraduate, she volunteered for various organizations like the red cross society, slum2school Africa, Crimson-bow sickle cell initiative, to mention a few. Chisom also volunteered to teach health education at the federal science and technical college, Yaba, Lagos Nigeria, she took the junior school class two students for three months. After her graduation, she worked at a digital marketing agency as a content writer and social media manager, she was responsible for managing the social media pages, creating content, and responding to customer's inquiries for a furniture company and a financial technology company. Chisom currently works as the social media analyst for an Information technology company, and she is also very passionate about rare diseases hence her decision to create Rare Disease Nigeria, a platform that advocates and creates awareness on rare diseases in Nigeria. Her leisure time is spent reading books, taking online courses in public health and digital marketing. Chisom has gained experience over the years, she looks forward to pursuing her master’s in public health to advance her career and passion in the health sector especially on rare diseases.
