Neurology is
a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of nervous system. Neurology
deals with the diagnosis and treatment of all categories of conditions and
disease involving in central and peripheral nervous
systems including blood vessels. Neurological
practice depends on the field of neuroscience, the scientific study of
the nervous
system.
Neuroscience
is the study of how the nervous system develops, its structure its function. Neuroscience
includes physiology, anatomy, molecularbiology, development and biology,
cytology, mathematical modeling, and psychology to understand the fundamental
and emergent properties of neurons
and neural
circuits.
It is a collective term used to describe various symptoms of cognitive
decline, such as forgetfulness. Dementia
is not a single disease in itself, but a general term to describe symptoms of
impairment in memory, communication, and thinking.
It
is a surgical procedure or treatment which is disturbed with the prevention,
diagnosis, surgical treatment and realignment of disorders which act mainly on
any major sections of the nervous
system, including the major parts of the brain,
spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and cerebrovascular
system.
It
deals with the detection of neurological
conditions and Neurological
developmental problems in neonates, infants, children and teenagers,
during childhood.
A
Pediatric
Neurologist deals with children who have seizures, head injuries, or
muscle weakness and disorders such as attention deficit hyperactivity
disorder (ADHD) and autism.
A
Geriatric
Neurology deals with of neurological conditions in the older adults.
Common symptoms include Partial or complete paralysis, Muscle weakness, Partial
or complete loss of sensation, Seizures,
Difficulty reading and writing, Poor cognitive abilities, Unexplained pain and
Decreased alertness.
It is the study of how drugs affect cellular function and neural
mechanisms through which they influence behavior in the nervous
system. There are two main branches of neuropharmacology:
1.Behavioral neuropharmacology focuses on the study of how
drugs affect human behavior.
2.Molecular neuropharmacology involves the study of neurons
and their interactions, with the overall goal of developing drugs that
have beneficial effects on neurological
function.
Neurology
nursing is a specialty focused on preventing and treating diseases related to
the nervous system, including brain, spinal cord, and nerves. Neurology
nursing is a broad specialty where nurses may work with inpatient or
outpatients, care for medical or surgical patients, and see patients through
acute illness or help them manage chronic disease and rehabilitation.
Neurodegenerative diseases group of disorders that are
characterized by progressive degeneration of the structure and function of nervous
system. Common neurodegenerative
diseases include Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's
disease.
Neurological
disorders are diseases of central and peripheral nervous system,
brain, spinal cord, cranial nerves, peripheral nerves, nerve roots, autonomic
nervous system, neuromuscular junction, and muscles.
Brain
disorders is condition (Caused by illness) or disability that affect
brain.
Brain
diseases come in different forms. Infections,
trauma, stroke, seizures,
and tumors
It is
a medical specialty that studies about central and peripheral nervous systems through recording
of bioelectrical activity, whether spontaneous or stimulated. It encompass both
research regarding the pathophysiology along with clinical methods used to
diagnose diseases of Nervous system
Neuromuscular
disorders include a variety of diseases affecting the peripheral nervous
system, which consists of all motor and sensory
nerves that connect brain
and spinal cord to the rest of the body.
Psychiatry is
the department of medicine focused on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of
mental, emotional and behavioral disorders. A psychiatrist is
one who specializes in mental health, including substance use disorders. Psychology
is the scientific study of the human brain
and its behavior.
Neurooncology is
a branch of medicine that concerns with brain and spinal cord neoplasms.
Cancers
of the nervous system are often severe and
eventually become life threatening.
It is
a complex medical process which aim to aid recovery from nervous
system injury, and to minimize or compensate any functional
alterations resulting from it.
