Title: The importance of understanding Scar Tissue
From the very start of her practice as a Massage Therapist,
Marjorie Brook recognized the importance of treating scar tissue. As an
Advanced AIS practitioner and Certified Personal Trainer, she trained under and
assisted Aaron Mattes (pioneer of AIS) across the United States and Canada.
Marjorie’s experiences contribute to the perspective that has allowed her to
develop The S.T.R.A.I.T. Method™ which features 2 specialized techniques: Scar
Tissue Release, and Integrated Therapeutic Stretching™ (ITS). She offers
seminars and lectures on her techniques throughout the US, Canada, Europe,
Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Asia.
Marjorie founded Brook Seminars Bodywork Education in 2007
with the intention of sharing her knowledge to enable a more satisfying
bodywork experience to all who care to learn. Ms. Brook has been a Nationally
Certified, NYS Licensed Massage Therapist since 1997. In addition to her
commitment to teaching, Marjorie has a private massage therapy practice that
caters to both healthy and special needs children and adults.
In July of 2011 Marjorie released Flexibility First: A
Fitness Approach for Life, two series of stretching manuals. Both series are available
as E-books and PDFs at www.flexibilityguides.com. They present the material in
an easy user-friendly format. Marjorie’s exclusive S.T.R.A.I.T. Method ™ which
she has developed compliments her Integrated Therapeutic Stretching (ITS) ™
programs, manuals and DVDs.
Through Brook Seminars, Marjorie teaches her techniques
internationally, offering continuing education courses in The S.T.R.A.I.T.
Method ™ , Integrated Therapeutic Stretching (ITS)™ and Body Mechanics. As a
keynote speaker she evokes her audience to stretching their body and mind as
one to reach outside their own limits without boundaries and attain both
physical and emotional balance.
